The establishment was very clean and inviting. As we walked in, we were met with a delicious BBQ aroma that filled the entire dining area. We were greeted as we approached the counter. The Brisket was amazing. It had the perfect amount of rub that turned into a nice tasty bark. Delicious. Their charro beans had so much flavor and the potato salad was scrumptious. Their turkey was very moist and had a little spice kick to it. The have(only on Friday) this awesome thing called a Texas twinki...it was an anchio chile filled with a brisket and cream cheese mixture that was absolutely mouthwatering. Overall, the food was hot a d extremely delicious. I would definitely recommend this place.

Incredible food, great brisket, sausage and pulled pork. I really enjoyed the potato salad and the Charro beans. I’ve never been here until today, saw the good ratings and reviews gave it a shot and it did not disappointed. Kevin the manager was warm, welcoming and very knowledgeable about all the food that they offer. Even recommended some of his own favorites, which were delicious. If you’re looking for a homegrown family, friendly barbecue spot in Mcallen look no further than black diamond BBQ. Check out their lunch specials from 11 to 2 but be quick cause they sell out fast. Coming back again soon thank you for everything.

Arrived late and missed the brisket. Ordered pulled pork and sausage with beans and baked potatoes casserole. The order came out shortly with two slices of bread and pickles and onions. Was pleasantly surprised by the flavor the pulled pork and sausages. I made a sausage sandwich with pickles onions and a touch of bbq sauce. This was especially good. The baked potato casserole was great but the beans were on a whole other level. Beans were crazy good! Service was very good, inside it was clean and well lit. Overall I very much enjoyed dining here and definitely recommend.

Nice little lunch spot. Kind of a hole in the wall with46 seats Had the 3 meat with 2 sides platter +1 extra side. Portions were a good value for quality and quantity. This was enough to feed 2 people. Brisket was juicy with a nice bark. Smoked sausage was good. Loved the smoked turkey. Saddened that cowboy Twinkie is available only on Friday. Come early to get choices because they will run out by the end of the day.

Yall got a great BBQ spot. I went on a Wednesday and got the lunch special of the loaded potato.. that is a must try. Came back today for the Friday special of the Texas Twinkies. Wow I was super impressed by the atmosphere the cooks the lay out. The spicy pickles are my favorite as well. Prices are perfect. Good size serving of food. Great vibes. I will be back for sure
